Her extensive acting portfolio post- Puberty Blues includes roles in Jack Irish, The Time of Our Lives and True History of the Kelly Gang. She then went on to star in High Tide in 1987, and The Heartbreak Kid in 1993, before hitting it big with a lead role in The Secret Life of Us in 2001. Karvan was cast in her first movie, Molly, in 1983 when she was just 10 years old. Australian icon Claudia Karvan played Debbie's mum Judy in Puberty Blues back in 2012, but the series was far from her career debut.
